Uliana began her career as a gymnast at the age of 5 where she became acquainted with the art of dance. During her period of gymnastics, Uliana was the Champion of the Far East Russia and also a finalist at the National Championship of Russia.
At the age of 12, Uliana earned the title of Master of Sport. However, during her first dance trials, she realized that she wanted to challenge her body even more through learning the expressive nature of dance. From the age of 12, Uliana began her dance career, dancing both International Latin and Standard dances. Throughout the years, Uliana has frequently been the winner and the finalist of national and international ballroom dance competitions throughout Europe. She has earned the title of Champion of Saint Petersburg. She is the Silver Medalist of the National Championship of Russia, having been a part of the national team Championship. Uliana is a Master of Sport. Since 2014 Uliana has been successfully representing the US on National and International competitions. Top 7 in Rising Star Professional category in the US, semi and quarter finalist in the US Open Professional Category, the winner of numerous US competitions.
Besides Ballroom Dances Uliana is involved with Social Dancing (in particular: salsa, bachata, merengue) and constantly attends workshops and social events. Uliana has more than 10 years’ experience of work with children and adults. Her motto is “Do impossible to reach possible!”
Message from Uliana:
“Life without sport is absolutely impossible for me, 8 years in acrobatics, more than 10 years in a dance sphere… Sport makes us stronger, goal-oriented individuals and high-flyers. The experience that was gained during these priceless longstanding years has become a real treasure for me!
For me Dance is a unique synthesis of body movements that gives an opportunity to experience thousands of new sensations, by both, body and soul. Ballroom dance is primarily a dance of two people, a special relationship between man and woman outspoken in body terms. Hence, the dance couple represents a woman who can feel herself as a beautiful lady who is loved and cherished, and a man who can express all his power and strength. In particular this intimate interconnection fascinates and attracts in its own way.
