Is it necessary to have a partner?

Not at all! There is so much stuff we can do.

For ladies, we can work on your posture, build beautiful legs and feet, teach you, have to be stable and grounded, hip motions, work on hands and learn patterns you can gracefully dance. You cannot imagine how many muscles are involved. Here you kill two birds with one stone – learning to dance and exercise at the same time.

Very often, people ask me, what I do to have the body I have right now and I always answer: “I dance!”

Many men claim to be terrible dancers, but dance psychologist Peter Lovatt tells that anyone can learn to move like an alpha male.

“Men sometimes say they’ve got no rhythm as an excuse because they think dancing’s not for them. Well, it is, it’s a display thing. Men should dance, and the more manly they are, the more they should dance.”

!! So working with gentlemen, we concentrate on their posture, masculinity, how to feel confident on the dance floor, coordination so they look adequate and one of the most important aspects is leading. No leady will reject a partner who can lead well. Often there is no need for a lady to know all steps when she relies on her partner.

Those who are coming in couples have a great chance to learn how to follow and how to lead, using each other’s weight to create a dynamic movement and shifting their bodies properly.

I hope by now you made a decision to move forward with dancing.

If you still have doubts, please, do not hesitate to contact me.

How long it will take an adult to start dancing?

On average, it takes about 3 months for all my students to start feeling comfortable on the floor. The only request from my side is to be consistent with your classes and have a minimum of 2 lessons per week. Our body is a tool.  It is all about rehearsal and repetition. We can understand everything but it takes time to build certain muscles to repeat and to remember like for example, hold a straight posture and a frame.   The rest is my responsibility. For each student, I tailor an individually chosen program to your needs, abilities, and goals.
